BOOKINGS

All bookings must be made by an adult (person 18 years or older) and any guest under the age of 18 (a minor) must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian - we do not allow minors to stay in our accommodation alone and must not be left alone in any room or public area at any time. Infants sharing a double bed with 2 adult occupancy are not chargeable, however, are charged at the normal double occupancy rate where there is only one adult. Infants are considered to be children aged 0 to 3 years old. A travel cot and mattress is available at an additional charge of £5 per stay.

All bookings will be confirmed via a text message a minimum of 24 hours prior to arrival. For bookings that are for one night only, please note a £10 supplement is chargeable.

DEPOSIT

For all bookings a deposit is requested to secure your reservation. For bookings of one night only, payment is required in full. For bookings of two or more nights, a minimum deposit of one night is required with the balance to be paid via BACS or cheque 7 days prior to arrival, or cash in full at check-in.

PAYMENT

Please be aware that as we do not have a debit or credit card machine, all payments must be made via an online BACS transfer or a cheque. Any balance that is due on arrival, can be paid by cash during the check-in procedure.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We require 72 hours notice in the event of a cancellation. Our cancellation policy is based on normal legal practice within the UK, whereby proprietors have the right to charge in full if we are unable to relet the accommodation in these circumstances.

If you are concerned about cancellation you are advised to take out travel insurance.

CHECK-IN/OUT TIME

Check-in time is from 2:00pm to 10:00pm however please let us know when you expect to arrive so that we can give you a warm welcome. We will send you a text message 24 hours prior to your arrival so you can keep us updated as to any delays, especially those guests travelling via ferry to/from the Channel Islands and France. For any late arrivals, we will notify you of our key-safe check-in procedure.

Check out time is 10:30am, however you may continue to park your car on check-out day until your departure home.

On check out, all room keys can be left in the pot on the dressing table, in the room door or on the coffee table in the guest lounge.. Failure to do so may result in you being charged for a replacement key(s) or lock(s) as deemed necessary. In the event that a key is not returned after check-out we request you contact us to make arrangement for keys to be returned to avoid charges.

On arrival, a member of each party, is required to complete a Check-In Form stating the full name and nationality of all guests (aged 16 years and over). This is a legal requirement as set out by the Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972 and for those that are not British, Irish or Commonwealth must also specify their passport number and place of issue (or other document which shows their identity and nationality).

If an invoice/receipt is required, please complete the Check-In Form including e-mail address and any other company details as necessary, and an invoice will be sent accordingly.

CAR PARKING

Guests arriving separately in multiple cars and then travelling together in one vehicle eg to Guernsey on holiday, may leave their vehicle(s) in either car park at a charge of £3.00 per car, per day.

SMOKING POLICY

We have a strict non-smoking policy throughout. Any damage caused by tampering with the smoke detectors will result in a charge levied for repair and professional cleaning of the room. For guests wishing to smoke, there is a covered porch and seating area to the front of the property as well as a pot for ash and cigarette ends.

LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO GUEST PROPERTY

Cranborne House and its proprietors do not accept responsibility for loss/damage to any cash, jewellery or any other items of value left in the rooms. Cranborne House and its proprietors do not accept responsibility for loss/damage to motor vehicles or any other vehicles and their contents parked in the car park.
